With a re-imagined Back to School (Distance Learning) event, we were able to serve over 220 families this past week at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Barrington. It took a lot of planning to roll out a completely new event that followed COVID protocols. We ensured everyone that attended as a guest or volunteer completed COVID screening, wore masks, used hand sanitizers at multiple stations throughout the event and practiced social distancing. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, the event exceeded our expectations. We are grateful to all of our amazing volunteers that made it possible to continue to provide necessities to families in need.
